1939	- TANAKA PISTON RING CO., LTD., the former Teikoku Piston Ring Co., Ltd., was established in Osaka to manufacture piston rings for airplanes and ships as their major products
1940	- A factory was built in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture. (Current Nagano Factory)
1943	- The corporate name was changed to TEIKOKU PISTON RING CO., LTD.
1945	- Following the suspension of production during World War II, the company received permission to convert military factories to non-military uses and began manufacturing a variety of piston rings and other cast metal products.
1946	- Started manufacturing cylinder sleeves.
1948	- TPR's piston rings and cylinder liners were certified as automobile parts with outstanding quality by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (currently the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry).
1950	- Started mass production of cylinder liners using the centrifugal casting method.
1953	- Display of Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) mark on piston rings was approved.
1960	- Osaka Factory was built in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture and started manufacturing platting for medium- and large-sized liners for ships.
1961	- Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Business alliance with EDOGAWA METALS CO., LTD. (Started selling EK metal)
1963	- Display of JIS mark on cylinder liners was approved. Nagano Factory was named an Outstanding Industry Standardized Factory by the head of the Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry.
1964	- Nagano Factory was named an Excellent Industry-Standardized Factory by the head of the Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. - KT MOTORS CO., LTD. was established in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture
1966	- Posted an employee to an office in Chicago, Illinois, USA
1967	- TEIPI SALES CO., LTD. was established.
1969	- Started manufacturing temperature-regulating Walton valves at the Osaka Factory.
1970	- TEIPI INDUSTRY CO., LTD. was established in Sagae, Yamagata Prefecture.
1972	- Opened an office in Dusseldorf, West Germany.
1976	- Gifu Factory was built in Kani, Gifu Prefecture. - Started mass production of sintered valve seats in the Nagano Factory. (It was transferred to the Gifu Factory later.)
1982	- TEIPI KOSAN CO., LTD. was established in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture.
1987	- Nagano Factory was named an Excellent Energy Management Factory by the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry. Teipi Tsukama Seisaku-jo Co., Ltd. was established in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture (later merged into Teipi Engineering Co., Ltd. in 2000).
1990	- T.A.FINANCE CO., LTD. was established. - TP CORPORATION OF AMERICA INC., was established as a sales subsidiary in the U.S.A. - TEIPI TSUKAMA SEISAKU-JO CO., LTD. was established in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture. (It was merged into TEIPI ENGINEERING CO., LTD. in 2000.)
1991	- TEIPI PREMEC CO., LTD. was established in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture. - TEIKOKU EUROPE GMBH was established as a sales subsidiory in Germany.
1993	- TEIPI THERMAL ENGINEERING CO., LTD. was established in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture.
1994	- TPM Award for Excellence
1996	- ANQING TP GOETZE PISTON RING CO., LTD., a joint venture for manufacturing and selling piston rings, was established in Anqing, China. - AE GOETZE & TP LTD., a sales company in Europe dealing with piston rings and cylinder liners, was established in Bradford, U.K.
1997	- TPM Award for Continuing Excellence
1998	- TEIPI BUSINESS CO., LTD. was established.
1999	- Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. - FEDERAL-MOGUL TP LINERS INC., a joint venture manufacturing cylinder liners, was established in Lake City, U.S.A.
2000	- Reorganized domestic network and closed Osaka Factory. - Established Federal-Mogul TP Sunderland Limited, a joint venture for manufacturing piston rings, in Sunderland, UK.
2001	- UNITED PISTON RING Inc., a joint venture manufacturing piston rings, was established in Manitowoc, U.S.A. - Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
2002	- Made an investment in TEIPI ALTEC CO., LTD., an aluminum product manufacturer. - ANQING ART TP PISTONS CO., LTD., a joint venture manufacturing pistons, was established in Anqing, China. - NANJING THERMAL ENGINEERING CO., LTD., a joint venture manufacturing equipment products, was established in Nanjing, China. - Y&T POWER TECH. INC., a joint venture manufacturing cylinder liners, was established in Korea.
2003	- FEDERAL-MOGUL TP EUROPE GMBH & CO. KG., a joint venture manufacturing steel piston rings, was established in Burscheid, Germany. (The production base for piston rings in Europe was transferred from the U.K. to Germany.) - FEDERAL-MOGUL TP LINERS EUPOPE OTOMOTIV LIMITED SIRKETI., a joint venture manufacturing cylinder liners, was established in Istanbul, Turkey. - TP ARN INTERNATIONAL TRADING ( SHNGHAI ) CO., LTD., a joint venture trading campany, was established in Shanghal, China.
2004	- Head Office moved to Marunouchi Trust Tower. - Obtained ISO/TS16949 certification. - Anqing TP Goetze Liner Co.,Ltd., a joint company for the production and sale of cylinder liners,was established in Anqing,China. TPR was selected as the Company's brand name. - Technical Center was established in Okaya,Nagano Prefecture.
2005	- Anqing ATGE Engineering Co.,Ltd. Was established in Anqing, China for the production and sale of machine equipment,tools, and jig tools as well as maintenance engineering. - TPR Asian Sales(Thailand)Ltd., a sales company in Bangkok,Thailand, was established. - China United Piston Ring Co.,Ltd., a joint venture,was established for the production and sale of piston rings in Lang Fang City,Hebei,China.
2006	- TPR VIETNAM Co., Ltd. a company manufacturing piston rings, was established in Ho chi minh, Vietnam.
2007	- TPR AUTOPARTS (INDIA) PRIVATE Co.,Ltd. Was establishbed in Rajasthan, India for the production and sale of cylinderliners. - PT TPR SALES INDONESIA Co.,Ltd was established in Karawang, Indonesia.
2008	- TPR VIETNAM Co., Ltd. started manufacturing of valve seats.
2009	- TPR VIETNAM Co., Ltd. started manufacturing of cylinder liners.
2010	- TPR Group (Operated by TEIPI KOSAN Co., Ltd.) entered into nursing business as a memorial event of 70th anniversary of establishment.
